The poor lions in the chiefs are trying their best to fill the surface and not be quartered (literally) themselves, in the usual heraldic tradition, so some deformation had to take place. Let us hope it isn't too strenuous for them. To ease the endeavor, the chiefs are somewhat larger than usual.
